Last night was first game I've watched in whole tournament...
Spain looked a class apart and was impressed by their pressing, speed of passing and use of both quality wingers.
England not as bad as some are making out. The low block isn't scintillating but can be effective against better opposition but you need an effective outlet and reliance on set pieces.
Kane looked every inch the Kane we had on loan at Norwich... immobile and ineffective.
Similarly, Watkins did virtually nothing after failing to take the single through ball. When he came on there needed to be a change in style, he's a Pukki type needing balls played through from midfield and a quality 10 to feed off.
Looked like the best team won it based on overall performance last night.
Don't know where England go from here but feels like it has for decades in that our coaching is still well behind the modern styles employed by Pep, Klopp, etc.

- Which manager would you rather play striker under? Hughton or Southgate? (Other Football) - SimonOTBC, Jul 15, 12:14:39
