Couple of additional points now I've woken up.

Cordoba was definitely the pivot in the back line. Played centrally for the whole 94 minutes, but obviously moved left and right with the flow of the game. When he had the ball he played a good variety of passes, as I said, simply, through the middle direct to midfielders feet, right and left to spread the play. He definitely came to the left more often, whether as part of the game plan or his own natural instinct. Looked like a leader.
We know the USA players are very fit, athletic, and their forwards were mostly tall and reasonably quick (think Sarge) but the way he coped, unrattled, suggests he should be okay against similar champs players.
Only judging on one game, I know, but looks like JHT has a lot of player to work with.
