Given that so far at least Kane, Walker, Bellingham, Guehi and Southgate himself have
been quite clear in post match interviews that this is NOT what the manager wants them to do as part of a game plan, I would have thought that by now we'd understand that.
The bigger worry is why he cannot get his game plan executed as intended. Has anything changed in the coaching staff? Are there some egos which have grown from previous years and thinking they have a better idea on the pitch?
But hey, we have never won our opening two games, and were exactly the same in 2021 and made the final so fingers crossed they sort it out in the next game or two.
