An awful lot of stuff, personal effects the hardest.
Mate of mine who was (still is) forensic photographer said it was extremely difficult taking pictures of everything.
Nowadays we provide trauma counselling for those working on cases, like we did for Salisbury Incident. Back then everyone just got on with it and dealt with it (probably?)
