Our problem, is we cannot/do not control games in midfield

There are some similarities with some of the issues with Wagner's Norwich side. We get past the lesser sides due to the talent we have at our disposal but when it comes to the crunch against the better sides it has cost us, particularly as Southgate is so limited he never acts to change it.

Obviously there are other issues such as no fit left footed full back meaning no overlap down the left. Taking Shaw as the sole left back was stupid in that regard also.

That game last night was crying out for Grealish (perhaps also Rashford too) in the second half. Ridiculous decision not to take him.
