Thorup Thursaday Thoughts.....

TBF saw the interview and he is saying exactly the right things. Cant deny...... he f**king nailed it.

Clearly we are going young so I can see why they went with him.
His toughest task might be with the senior squad members who are nearly as old as him and probably have much more top level experience.
From what I heard Farke had that issue in his first season. He had very little rep coming in.
Farke and Webber often mentioned the culture and sins of the club.

The talk of possession based football sounds good in soundbites but you need the players.... period.
Are we playing out from the back with Duffy and Hanley?
TBF to Wagner he knew this which is hew tried Kenny and Lungi in there even with fit CBs

The management team is a part of the puzzle but it will come down to our business in the transfer market on how successful we are.
I think any results should be judged in the context of both our transfer business and the progression of any young players he gives chances too.

For those that understand terms like variance and standard deviation, the possible results this season are probably off the charts.
Last year we knew what we had based on the previous season. It was never top 4 but never in a relegation fight....

To be honest I'm more excited by our transfer business this season than anything else.
I wont be complaining if we have to sell 1 or 2 of our better players to finance a huge rebuild.
In the first Farke season it was clear we had Maddison but one great player doesn't make a squad good enough for promotion.
25M does, if it allows you to bring in players and not gut the squad.
