Does anyone remember going to Luton in the 80's
There was a footer link today on Facebook asking if you would be sad if Luton went down. I replied I wouldn't ask a York fan if they like Luton.
A reply I got went into detail about how their hooligan culture of the 80's was blamed on away fans by their Chairman
"I hated them in the 80s, with that vile Cockney git chairman. His answers to crowd trouble was by banning away fans. I mean, in all fairness a club like Norwich were noted for having a "family" type of crowd and their supporters were never nasty.
But no, Evans thought fans of the other 91 clubs were animals. Did it purely to score brownie points from Thatcher, the rancid old 5h1t that he was."
