Where are these £36 of which they speak? Mine cost me £37

I'm old enough to remember fondly a time when the price quoted for a good or service was what you actually paid for said good or service.

The yanks have it far worse, with sales taxes added at the till and 20%+ tip expected when eating out, and gig tickets have been awful for this for some time.

But it would be nice if a £36 ticket actually cost me £36, not £37.
