That 2 points will get reduced to 1 point and actually they'd be fine if it weren't in all likelihood.

I mean otherwise an FFP sanction would have had an actual consequence and we all know that can't really happen.

Cf Citeh. They will win the league by, say, n points. Their sanction will be n-1 points; or, if their GD is sufficiently better than whoever finishes #2 (so depends if that's Arse or Lpool), could even be n points. No actual penalty at all.
