Well that feels like a damp squid this morning

After the elation of Saturday and a very good 45 mins; it went to pot in the second half. Mental fatigue set in. Wednesday were woeful and it took two set pieces where we weren’t switched on and got sucker punched!

A win would have dented PNE’s hopes for Saturday but now they will be in the driving seat, should they beat us with their game in hand. Our squad is threadbare with any real intent on the bench to change dynamics.

If Sargent was not injured last night, that was a baffling call to bench him with a third of the game to play. Our game plan changed when he came off as no player to run in behind and get the ball further up the pitch. This invited them to play and have a go. I’m not a huge Idah fan but him coming on for Sargent with 30 mins would have helped.
