In general I would agree with you but ignoring the fact it’s

uneasy to watch, I actually think it was the right thing to do today. The stats show how dangerous Ipswich are in the last 10 minutes and how their subs have more of a goal winning influence than any other team in the league, plus the danger el mehamidi posed by running in behind so sitting and being absolutely solid was correct.
Just as you say on another day it could cost us, today it could have cost us not to!
Imagine if Wagner had given the instruction to play higher up and Ipswich exploited the extra space and scored…..how many more people would be critiquing that decision?
I am certain every great team in history has now and again had to be defensive for the final 10 or 15 mins to get the right result. Some would say having the ability to grind out a result is vital in a successful team
