Just so. Promotion battles, we tend to do well. Relegation battles, we tend to do badly.

That's a pattern which has endured for a very long time in fact isn't it.

Finish sixth, the momentum will be with us and I reckon the bookies will underprice us to go up from there. Although any of the current contenders could do us over two legs or at Wembley, it's only Leeds I really fear and think we have a great chance against any of the others (including Leicester, if they've dropped to third they'll be smarting from that and not playing to the potential of that squad of theirs).

Final against scum would be epic though I wouldn't want to be in charge of policing on that particular occasion. It's so far removed from what it was like in the 70s/80s but there's still idiots on both sides who'll be looking for some. Funnier (and more likely, I think they'll finish third) would be to knock them out in the semis again, though. They've still never played at the new Wembley, unblievably, and there's not many of the 92 of whom that's true.
