Management (in any field) is

a moving target, a constantly shifting balance of stuff.

So, it's never as easy as saying having Sargent in is the only factor (but it'd be crazy to say it wasn't incredibly significant).

When players like Nunez (and others) are playing well now, it's going to be about the cumulative decisions made. He got progressively worse under Smith, now he's looking great again. But it's not Champs manager - you don't just pick a team off a spreadsheet, there's personalities involved and people behind what we see.

Wagner seems an erudite, intelligent, manager. I didn't understand the baying for blood when we had an injury crisis (tho was disappointed he wasn't able to fashion a backup plan). Pleased for him, and us, that it's coming together again. We've so little on the bench that I think we'll need a fair bit of luck over the rest of the season, but we've earned our place and Wagner has shown some skills.
