He's a genuinely fantastic orator, one of the best ever in politics

You might not like what he says, but he can put things accross in a style that resonates with people and has an impact.
His performance years ago when he was questioned by the US Senate over the Iraq oil for food programme was an absolute masterclass where he totally turned the tables on the senators questioning him and trying to stitch him up.

I used to watch it on youtube the nights before I had union meetings with our employer!

Rochdale was the perfect storm for him and I really wouldnt be surprised if he retained the seat at the next election and has it for the full term like he did Bradford.
