I'm not sure getting promoted is going to be easy for any team at the moment.

FWIW I do agree that this current squad is way off the pace needed to be at least mildly competitive in the PL, especially defensively.

The upside is the cash gives us financial stability for a number of years.
That's a pretty big upside.
