🗣 David Wagner's press conference ahead of Saturday's fixture at home to Cardiff City will take place at 4️⃣·3️⃣0️⃣pm.
----------------------------------------------------------

DW: “Onel (Hernandez) had a scan yesterday but it was clear, so he will be available. Josh (Sargent) didn’t train today, so it will be a late call tomorrow”

DW: "Onel felt his hamstring in the first half, and we had the discussion at half-time. He wanted to try it in the second half. Josh was the same, he was limping in the first half. It was clear we had to take them off early in the second half."

DW on Sargent: “Josh is a combination - most still relates to his ankle but not the joints. More load means you have to be careful with him. If Josh doesn’t train tomorrow then he won’t be involved on Saturday."

DW: "It looks like Duffy will be out for two weeks. Rowe doesn't need surgery, and it will be more months than weeks as it's a serious injury. It's hard to give a clear time frame on this."

DW on Jonny Rowe: “I think he could still be a big player for us. He is still super young and has experienced injuries and how to come back. I’m super confident he will come back as good as he was.”

DW: “We have players who play on a good level. Fasi (Fassnacht) with his goal and Onel (Hernandez) with his assists.”

DW: “It’s a moment we have to make sure we are excited and go for it. I want to get the focus from everyone on Saturday against Cardiff. Our home performances and recent results are good, but we are not done.”

DW: “I’m an honest guy, I say what I think and the truth. I always protect my players, backroom staff and the football club. Even those supporters with a positive mindset. We go for it (on Saturday).”

DW on Sara: “Nothing is bigger for a football player than a goal. He is an outstanding player for us, and nobody has a doubt about this.”

DW on Liam Gibbs: “We have honest conversations about it. He had his dip in training and performances. But when you see what he done on Tuesday, he has made steps in the right direction.”

DW on On Cardiff in November: "I think we're on a completely different run to back then. It's obvious, from the points and the performances. Hopefully we can push the squad for Saturday. It's been a heavy week, but we're confident. We know they're not on the best run at the moment, but I think they're unlucky. It's a super competitive team, nobody thinks this will be easy. They have very good individuals."

DW on unity: “The answer is easy, when we play away from home and we feel the atmosphere is negative then you are on the right side (to get a result). As a home team we have to avoid this.”

DW on shirt sponsor: “Everything we can support that has a positive impact we will do.”
