So still a lot of time!

Initially, I would just look at running regularly and cross training is definitely helpful if you cycle. There's no need to go straight in to intervals or long-runs but having a good easy base will allow you to add those on when you are more confident in your fitness and conditioning.

Perhaps book in a half marathon later this year as well as some parkrun and local 10kms (Norwich 10km is a great event!) so that you have something to train for (maybe even look forward to) in the short term? Valencia half in October is an excellent race and also a nice spring board in to some winter training that could be a nice starting point physically and mentally for a marathon training block next year?
