Thoughts on last night

Rowe and Sara are our marquee players. Building the side around the is key to getting results.

McLean offers a lot wherever he's played in the spine of the side. Looking at the current squad and how we've played the last month or two, playing him as a ball playing central defender has real benefits to the balance of the side. (tho hampered by the lack of a great anchoring defensive midfielder - I'm with Jim).

Mccallum was really good last night, getting forward and leaving them uncertain as to whether he was going to take a shot or cross.

Long is getting his eye in, looked decent back up.

I like nunez. We have a great bunch of attacking midfield players, so I'm not sure how you fit in him, Sara, sainz, Rowe and fassnact (who got in some decent crosses). Squad rotation will be key/needed, but balanced with consistency.

Sargent is missed when we don't play him. Barnes is handy as a disruptor in some styles of matches, but we'd likely be more effective with sara/nunez/Rowe up top.

All of this is really contingent on us getting a Harrison Reed/Tettey/Skipp/three lungs style player in. Midfield to release that potential. Forshaw doesn't look like the answer.

So... I'm with Jim. Let's see if we can plug that squad deficiency this window (I like Sorenson too, but he does feel like he'll always be a squad player until he can nail his fitness and nail down a consistent place in a side...)
