Dental nightmares: when I was about 9 or 10 I had to have a tooth extracted...
it was so stubborn and hard to remove that the dentist had to put his foot on the arm of the chair for leverage.
Strangely, since then I've had a fear of dentists.
It did make me wonder if he'd trained as a midwife and encountered an equally stubborn baby what he would have done.
