That’s somewhat irrelevant, isn’t it?

I know the point you’re making, we’re not relegation strugglers. Plenty of clubs have had it worse and do have it worse.

However, the playoffs are as irrelevant as the relegation places really. There’s nothing to suggest we’re going to outperform the sides above us over the rest of the season, let alone catch 5 points on the team in 6 while overtaking all in between.


The question then is whether we’re happy with mid table mediocrity with the squad we’ve got. I’d say we’re not really over or under performing, particularly with injuries.

The football hasn’t been great for a lot of the time, but I’m not sure anyone would be that happy if we played a slick passing game and had the same results anyway.

My conclusion is this season should just be allowed to ebb away, sack Wagner at the end and get someone in that will play a better style while continuing to overhaul the squad. I know plenty disagree and want him gone now, which is fair enough.
