DW on Dimi Giannoulis: “Dimi has been in training since the start of the week. We had everybody back in training today apart from Josh (Sargent), who is back on Monday. A good day, a lot of players outside on the grass."
DW on Josh Sargent: “He is a super fit guy naturally. We could have had him in training today or this week, but we don’t have to accelerate anything.”
DW: “Grant Hanley won’t be in the squad for Saturday, but he could be involved against West Brom or Millwall. His first start will be in the FA Cup. Hwang should be in the squad on Saturday.”
DW on first team players in the U21 fixture last Sunday: “It was another advantage we have seen, it gave us a chance to give them 90 minutes. We gave them two days off this week before this busy week and a chance to recover from the last game.”
DW on HTAFC: “They will be difficult to break down and have only lost one of their last games. We have to be on it and so do the fans in the stand.”
DW: “We have to be their from the first second with all the energy we have and be really intense. This first game is important before this period. We now have a big squad available for what happens after.”
DW on Darren Moore: “We know what their idea is. This is totally different to Neil Warnock’s. We know everything we will face and hopefully, we can exploit their weaknesses.”
DW on Kenny McLean’s 200 games: “I think you can see how much I rate him by his appearances and starts since I arrived. He is a top professional and quite emotional in games, he is working on this. He wants to win football matches.”
DW on January window: “Yeah, I know where you come from. We have received loan offers for some of our players already. This scenario could change in nine days. My focus is only on Huddersfield.”
DW on Rowe transfer interest: “He has done great so far, but it’s only half of the season. Fingers crossed, we hope he does this is the second half. We are in control of his situation. Ben (Knapper) is in contact with his representatives.”
DW on Jonny Rowe: “We will progress with his contract situation at the end of the season. We have full control as he has two and a half years left.”
