I'd like to express a huge disappointment and distress at your decision to conduct a fireworks display at your residence at such a late hour.

Your written correspondence to me did NOT give you my permission to go ahead with what can only be described as excessive family celebration. I can assure you the happiness of your family does not have to be demonstrated in such a public fashion.

My poor dog has been terrified by the loud bangs - it doesn't like pyrotechnics at a decent hour let alone at an undecent one. The poor beast has suffered due to your selfishness and I have instructed him to bite you hard next time he sees you.

I can only hope he severs an artery and you bleed to death wondering what just happened.
