AGM Thoughts and Reflections

Apologies for lack of live Wrathing this year.

There is already coverage of content already out there on Twitter and PinkUn so here are my takeaway thoughts...

Pleased to see an early question on pies, and specifically vegan baptist pies... very diverse 👍

They never covered by 2nd question, but never mind. The usual glib answer to my 1st regarding conflicts of interest with executive governance structure.

Knapper said all the right things and wouldn't expect more from the new man just in the door. Jury out so far, so let's see what he's made of.

Attanasio isn't going to be putting his own money in. However, he appears to be a conduit to other possible investors and funds (that's he area of expertise). He did say this was only if investor's thinking was aligned to current Board.

Delia hasn't spoken for a few years, and judging by tonight, shouldn't do so again! She was ultra defensive and offering up flimsy excuses which were, quite frankly, embarrassing.

Leaving aside the question raised about her made up 'quote' which appeared on Twitter from a fake account and attributed to TNC, her general mood was head in the sand, we'll carry on regardless.

If professionals on vast earnings can't stand a bit of criticism (pretty justified) then we need some more resilient players! Blaming the mysterious 20% of negative 'booboys' is a nonsense, as is falling back on injuries... poor old us!!

The Board are there to ensure resilience and a squad that has enough depth to cope, not crumble when one or two aren't available. Footballers get injured... who'd have guessed it!? Better update that risk register!

Young Tom did a fair job running things, and he appears to live in Keswick (Bacton) from his comment about his local postman... I wonder if I was near his place when I stayed there last week... could have called in for a cuppa.

Anyway, that's the lowest I've felt for a good few years after and AGM. Not much positivity for me but others may take a different view.

Onward and upward, On The Ball City!
