VAR has been a spectacular fail for football

The idea was that it would get rid of all the controversy and make sure that all the decisions were correct and everyone would be happy.

Instead we now have every single manager of every single premier League team complaining after every single game that they lose. And they are complaining that a decision went against them based on VAR (how can that possibly happen when we were told VAR is the solution?)

Any decision made by var: "why are we letting var get involved on that kind of incident?" Any decision not given to a team "why didn't var get involved?"

The year the referees didn't go to the screen "why aren't we letting the referee make the decision by looking at the screen?" Now they go to the screen "what's the point of them going to the screen we all know the decision anyway?"

The football media (and managers) are obsessed with var (and don't understand it most of the time) and are whipping up all stupid fans into a frenzy and instead of refs getting less criticism they are getting more criticism/abuse than ever before and it is an easy excuse for teams to explain why they lost a particular match. See Steve Cooper this weekend.

So not only do we have more controversy than ever before but it has ruined the flow of the game for the match going fan. A total flop.
