🎙️ Head coach David Wagner will be holding his press conference for tomorrow's match against Watford at 12.30pm today.
------------------------------------------------------------

DW: "Everybody looked fine on Saturday, everybody available for selection on Saturday will be ready for selection tomorrow."

DW: "Barnes’ fitness will be assessed tomorrow morning, big compliment to him and our fitness department that he played 90 minutes."

DW: "Rowe and Placheta will both be late calls. We have had to look at them both day by day. They are not major issues but nothing decided yet."

DW: “We expect Gunn and Forshaw back in training after Watford.”

DW: "Grant Hanley is expected to be back in training after Bristol."

DW: “QPR wasn’t the most entertaining game, but it was the lowest xG against of the season, which was a big step. It’s big for us to be more difficult to break down.”

DW: “Watford will be on another level to QPR, this is clear. We have to be more ruthless in both boxes.”

DW: “We identified seven defensive topics we need to improve. We’ve worked on these topics, and a lot of them were better in the last game. We still make mistakes, but football is a game of mistakes. We have to minimise them.”

DW: “We can’t continue with the huge defensive errors. We counted eight or 10 from the first 16 games. This is something where we dramatically have to improve. QPR was the first step.”

DW: “Being creative depends on confidence, and this is something we started to build with back-to-back wins. Our focus had to be on improving our goal against record, but that doesn’t mean we can’t attack.”

DW: “Gabby can score goals and make assists, everybody knows this. But he is a big part of us being solid as well. He was one of the main reasons we looked a bit more stable, because he had a bit of a different position in possession and after turnovers.”

DW: “We will try to focus on ourselves against Watford. We have to make sure that we continue our way, which we found back. We’d all like to keep this winning feeling going.”

DW: “Watford have individual quality and an aerial threat in the box. They cross the ball and have decent speed out wide. Centrally they can penetrate if you give them time. But if we do a lot of things right then we will be a good side and fine margins will decide the game.”

DW: “Ismael has adapted his style a little bit. At Barnsley and West Brom he was much more direct, now they play a bit more football. I’m quite excited about the game and the challenge in front of us after two wins and a clean sheet.”

*Wagner confirms that Mark Attanasio will be in attendance at Thursday’s AGM.*

DW: “I’m very happy with Christos. I was very involved with the loan to Germany. He has had a great season so far with Düsseldorf. Fingers crossed he stays healthy and can continue what he’s doing. We follow him quite close, especially me.”

DW: “It’s too early (to discuss Tzolis’ future). When the season comes to an end we will have a discussion, not earlier. “
