Not really because if there is a flaw in his game....

defensively as has been suggested (though that is obviously speculative) then he will not have the full respect of his team mates. I'm sure most of us have played the game and the last thing you want as a team mate is someone not pulling their weight. Advantages of having them in the team are outweighed by the disadvantages.

There is obviously a reason why Sainz isn't getting game time but it is not for us to know - just randomly guess at. However we all know that if someone doesn't do a full job in whatever profession they won't last long and they won't have the respect of colleagues.

Only a theory as someone else suggested it. Plausible though.
