you can maybe afford the odd whiff of a season/transfer, but pretty much everything needs to go your way.

And recently, it's difficult to see anything that 'has' gone our way.

Rampant transfer inflation doesn't help unless you can find an Emi each season.

Maybe flogging Rowe will get us out of the mire? But he could easily become another Aarons (or worse, Cantwell) if we mistime the sale.
