Other than us all hating Webber etc... what's the downside of a handover?

Is the concern that Webber somehow taints Knapper's view of what the appropriate course of action is? That Knapper is just Webber's puppet for that period?

The reality is surely that Webber will not be around day to day and will be acting almost like a consultant to help Knapper to the extent any help is needed.
