DW on team news: “No serious issues. There are some knocks, but we have another training session before we head to a Sunderland.”

DW: "Angus Gunn will likely not be available for the Scotland squad in the next international break, Vicente Reyes will be recalled next week to be cover."

DW: “Vicente will be back next week, this weekend we will be covered by Caleb Ansen again. I can't see that Gunn will be ready for Cardiff, we will see how everything progresses in the next ten days, two weeks."

DW on Hanley: “He will play 45-minutes for the U21s on Monday. It’s too important to not rush Grant back. The medical department have done so well as he’s seven weeks ahead of schedule.”

DW: “We like to change this period. I have to take criticism, I have no problem with this. We must be self-critical, but do I doubt my players - no chance.”

DW: “It’s okay to get criticism. But this is my team and my players, and I back them. The only one that can change it is us. Luckily, with the Championship you get a chance to put it right.”

DW on Boro defeat: “There were some periods that were okay. We were open in lots of situations. There were still lots of good elements like how often we won the ball high up. We need to be more consistent.”

DW: “I’m a human like you. I like praise and don’t like criticism, but I accept it. In this moment, the criticism is right. I will not change, I try to be as calm as I can. In a period like this, the only one that can turn it is us.”

DW on issues at previous clubs: “Huddersfield we had seven games without a win in the Championship. This happens to every team in the league. You have to stick together and continue to do your work.”

DW on Webber/Adams: “No nothing has changed. We meet everyday to chat about us, the team, the club, the future. That’s day-to-day work.”

DW: “I have had no contact with Ben (Knapper) since the one time we met. I’m looking forward to this. He needs to recharge his batteries on holiday and spend time with his family.”

DW on handover period: “Let’s be honest. If we had a good period of results now, then people will say b*****y hell this club is managing the situation well. The owners have dealt with the sporting director element so well. There is a handover period till next year.”

DW: “Everything done behind the scenes is ultra professional. We just focus on what we do at Colney.”

DW on Idah sub decision: “Adam was not as energetic as he was during the game. We wanted new energy. I criticised the subs during Leeds and Coventry. Everybody who came on against Boro was energetic. This was a positive from the last game.”

DW on Sunderland form: “It shows that apart from one or two teams, everybody will have a situation like we do where they lose games. They like to play football and they are fluid. They aren’t strong at defending set-pieces. They want to challenge for the play-offs.”
