I’m firmly of the view that a quality midfield can compensate

For a s**t defence or poor strikers. Even poor strikers will score when presented with simple chance after simple chance.

Great defenders can be made to look s**t when completely exposed, great strikers will look s**t with no service.

I like Kenny and Sara, but the tactics aren’t working and we need somebody else (and it’s not gibbs, Sorensen, forshaw or Nunez). It’s somebody good on the ball that can really control the game.
