I admit I don't understand the modern game at all

Suicide passing between keeper, centre backs and Kenny with the aim of getting a ball down the wing to a marked Onel, is it really worth the very genuine risk of giving a goal away? (Which we've done more often than I care to remember)

And then you have players like Gibbs yesterday whose job seems to be run around a bit and never touch the ball. Same role Nunez has when he plays, and Springett when he comes on. What role is this meant to be? Genuinely no idea.

By 2-3 yesterday there was zero chance of a comeback despite 10 mins IT. We could all see it, but why? Why are there so many players who couldn't possibly create anything on the pitch? Even our sub striker offers nothing.
