Press news in...

🎙️ David Wagner will join us at Colney to preview tomorrow's visit of Leeds United.
-------------------------------------------------------

DW on team news: “All the internationals came back healthy. Nacho flew back last night, so I haven’t seen him. Apart from our two strikers, everyone was in training this week.”

DW: "Borja, yes. Lungi needs time. Grant is back in team training now as well. It's great to see him back after six months, earlier than expected. But it's great to have his presence in the dressing room again. He will still need time though."

DW on Grant Hanley: “He is back quicker than we expected. His presence is massive in the group. But we will not rush anything. He needs more training and minutes in the U21s.”

DW on Barnes and Sargent: “With Sarge it’s too early to predict anything, so I’d expect it to still be Christmas. Barnes might have a chance to make the Cardiff game before the November international break.”

DW on the break: “It has given us a chance to get some players into a rhythm. We had the chance to reflect and look forward on the details we need to do better.”

DW on form: “We were not on our best level individually or collectively. This means the performances are not where they should be. We need to be better in-and-out of ball possession. Our aim is to come back better. We want to go back to our best. Our home record is decent, we want to extend that and we have two home games to do that."

DW on Daniel Farke: “He had a good time here. I haven’t met him very often. I met him once when Norwich played Schalke in a friendly. I know how it feels to come back at Huddersfield, but he is now the Leeds United manager.”

DW on fixtures: "Super challenging games - and not only this three but Blackburn after that and then Cardiff. But I'm really looking forward to playing at home again."

DW on returning to a previous club: “It’s more for the media. It’s now about beating them. It’s the emotional and personal things that I looked forward to like seeing familiar faces and a place you spent lots of time at.”

DW on Leeds: “You’ve seen that they’ve been active in the transfer window and this takes time. We are aware of their strengths.”
