Yesterday'a game was the first time I've watched a full NCFC match in a long time,
Some thoughts:
We looked like a stereotypical Championship team. We could play really nice quick attacking football at times but more often than not it was a little bit pedestrian. We could defend resolutely for long periods of the game but also still maintain the capacity to give ourselves an uppercut at any time.
We looked like an average Championship team, nothing more, nothing less. I don't know if it's down to tactics, key injuries, lack of squad depth or maybe a bit of all of those? I haven't seen nearly enough of NCFC the last few years to have the answers. Maybe some of you do.
Chris Goreham said it best during the second half when he said that we needed to play more of that quick attacking play, pressing Cov for a second goal but it never came, and in the end what is a decent point away feels like a wasted opportunity.
