I keep hearing that.... but how much are we talking?

The message from us is very much that we're paupers, but I would be very surprised if our total budget (wages, transfer fees etc) for the coming season isn't significantly bigger than theirs.

Not saying that will result in a better squad, but just more to point out the level of investment required from a club coming up just to reach parity with other established championship sides, particularly those with recent forays into the PL.
