recent recruitment issues

I note that:
1. Liverpool signed Arthur Melo on deadline day in Sept, on-loan for the season. A £4,000,000 fee plus his "six-figure" wages, so a minimum of £8.2m
He has played THIRTEEN minutes, in a struggling side, due to a combination of injury & lack of form

2. 'Dirty' paid £25m+ for the 20-yr old Georginio Rutter. He has "completed 234 mins in the PL & started once... no goals, no assists, no shots on target & 3 in total" And Rutter was the focus of an The Athletic piece entitled "Leeds' strategy of buying for the future won't work in unforgiving PL"

Here you have two very Norwich-like-mistakes being made by other clubs. Clubs that, in recent years, have been lauded for their approach & execution of footballing principles.

So, maybe, just maybe, Webber's missteps are no different from the rest of the football world. Everyone can recruit a dud, and all smaller clubs are looking for that edge (stats / young recruitment / overseas), an edge that can misfire.

Anyway, suck on that haterz
