is this, objectively, our worst set of transfers in a season?

We'll have had spells where we signed worst players (Derveld, De-waard etc etc) but factoring in how much we spent (wages for those loans were not cheap), what we needed to improve the squad, and the opportunity in front of us, have we utterly blown it more spectacularly than this?
