if we were then to go up, we'd be left needing a new striker for the prem.

I'd love him to stay for one more year, but I think he'd want a 2 year deal, and on decent wages. Which I'm not sure would represent great value for NCFC really.

As much as it pains me to say it, maybe the end of this season is the right time for him to move on for all parties. We'd miss him, although getting a bit older, he's a cut above our other strikers in terms of movement and touch. Even when not scoring himself, his interplay with the midfielders around him is second to none at this level.
