Pukki probably suffered more than anyone with last season's failed recruitment

He wasn't going to get an instant partnership success post Buendia but must have hoped that he'd get something to push on with.

Instead he was just destined to repeat his previous PL campaign of doing ok despite everything else. So I can't really blame him for wanting to try elsewhere, because he almost certainly wouldn't be kept to have a third go if we are promoted this season.
