The Secret Diary of BWOD, aged 14 and ¾

Ever since Daniel left his job in that Russian school I've been getting things ready for when he comes back. I got the Luscious Lips Package from Superdrug and the L'Oreal Volumizer Maxx shampoo. I asked mum to shorten my best school skirt and she said she wasn't having me going round looking like "that", but wouldn't explain. Parents can be so weird. I asked Worthing Yellow what he thought about my short skirt and he went a funny colour.

Friday

There's the most awful rumour going round school. The mean boys are saying that Daniel wants to work at Pulis Academy, the nasty rough school where everyone is six foot five and they all kick each other as hard as they can all through break time. This cannot be true. Daniel is so sensitive and kind, he'd hate it there.

Went to the Chinese at lunch and bought chips and curry sauce to cheer myself up. Then I found out that Ms Ward has been appointed Deputy Head even though she's married to the Bursar. It made me feel sick - I hate the Bursar, I'm sure he votes Tory. Didn't want my chips any more so I shared them with Cardiff Canary. I'm not sure if I like him or Worthing best.

Wrote a sad poem. It begins

"Oh dark dark dark day
When I discovered that Daniel may
Abandon me and seek reward
Far away from the Bursar and Ms Ward"
