Personally I think the line that we had 2 top targets makes sense.

Both have been spoken to this week, Lampard has won out.

It could be Delia was sounding Roy out for a short stint to tide us over till KK could come as part of that process.

I don't think 5 days to appointed someone to a 6 figure salary role is a long recruitment process.
