While I agree with your point, Potter did try to play a similar type of football he was

playing at Swansea when he first arrived at Brighton but a few chastening experiences meant that he changed philosophy pretty quickly. It probably helped him that he had a load of Hughton type players there already and wealthy owners who could afford the attacking players needed. So while we were trying to be more defensive and pragmatic against Burnley and Brighton people moaned our lack of creativity. I think that Pukki might be the sticking point to pragmatism here as much as we all love him. Idah and/or Rashica turning defensive lines may be the way forward...but then we have to put up with a bit of hoofball.
