Press news in...

Daniel Farke's pre-Leeds press conference is about to begin. Updates to follow.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

DF: Zimmermann had his ankle surgery and will be out for several weeks. Apart from this, the players are more or less available.

DF: We have not waved the white flag. We have focussed on the games against Burnley and Brighton.

DF: It is important to feel the pain (after Chelsea). In football things change pretty quick and we want to gain the momentum back quick.

DF: I was not wasting my energy to think about such a topic. I am just focused on helping my players. We are the underdog in this league. But, we are better prepared than two years ago.

DF: DF: Every game is difficult for a newly promoted side, but we know that now is the crunch time period for us.
The jury will be out after the season, not after nine games.

DF: We are respectful. Leeds have done fantastic over the past two years. In this home game we want to deliver and focus on ourselves. We have a chance on Sunday.

DF: Stuart Webber was spot on. It was not acceptable. But we have a relationship built on deep trust over five years. Our relationship is based on trust. We stand shoulder to shoulder. He is spot on.

DF: I know how far we have developed this club. Stuart has brought this club two Championship titles. I can’t give him more praise.

DF: I also like to think I have played a small part in that project. Just because we lose games to Chelsea or Liverpool, that doesn't mean I don't believe in what we are doing.

DF: I don't need any backing. I'm not happy with the status quo but I am convinced we can achieve with this club. I can't guarantee anything but I promise we will work our socks off.

DF: If I'm honest, I didn't want to keep the negativity out. I wanted everyone to Colney to feel the pain to ensure they never feel it again.

DF: To find the brutality in front of goal... it's never easy to break the cycle, but my message to my players it to fight as a team to score the first goal.

DF: We are respectful. Leeds have done fantastic over the past two years. In this home game we want to deliver and focus on ourselves. We have a chance on Sunday.

DF: Put the games against the top three away, they have all been tight games. No team has played us off the park in those seven games. We are not happy with two points after nine games or conceding 7 against Chelsea, but we are competitive.

DF: To add the first win would be a confidence boost and great for the table. To make sure we are solid in defending and clinical in our finishing is the task.

DF: All games except against top three teams have been tight games. We know we are competitive. We are not happy where we are after nine games. This is a difficult challenge for us. There is no guarantee that we will be celebrating at the end of this season. But we have a real chance and the upcoming games are ones where we will be more competitive. It's not important where you are after nine games, but 38.

DF: Nothing has changed with Todd Cantwell.

DF: Byram was out for nearly 20 months. He's had back to back weeks on the training pitch. He's not a topic for the weekend but he'll come closer the longer he's with us in training.

DF: Even if there is a poor result against Leeds, we will not give up. This group of players will not give up.

That's all from the Boss this afternoon.
