A lot to agree with here

The bit I disagree with is the negligence bit. There's this undercurrent implying we don't have another CB or DCCDM because the club are stupid, or incompetent, or can't see what's in front of their faces. I have no doubt that those are the positions we've tried hardest to fill. But the transfer markets don't always let you do what you want - it's not FIFAxx.

On the need to get in faces, break up play, all of that; and to at least mix it up rather than playing out every time, yeah, I do agree with that.

All of which said we are playing Man City at home. Even with those things changed, and I hope we change them second half, we're still unlikely to leave with much. But against Liverpool there was plenty to like despite the result; that's not really true from that half, is it.
