in fairness to all teams, why not discontinue this season, pick up in August and just carry on with current point totals?
No promotion, no relegation, but also no clean slate. Essentially a combined two season table. The 9 or 10 missing matches from this season could be made up with not a lot of difficulty in the new season. This way no one could argue that unduly benefitted or were unduly punished.
Just essentially delaying the true results a year.
