Maybe it was because of Fahrman, maybe it wasn't

But two things are for certain:

Fahrman wasn't a waste of money because having only one keeper of sufficient standard would have been frankly ridiculous had Krul got injured

and

Krul has been excellent whether it was a consequence of having an extended run of games and a full pre-season or due to competition
