why does it take VAR offical so long?

Sky shows the hand ball 21 second after the ball hit he net.

VAR took 1 min 27 seconds

Its not like they had to go back 5 minutes to try and find an offside or other reason earlier in the play
1!

why doesn't the VAR official simply, watch sky!
