It's really difficult to figure out who our peers are

We're a bigger club than Palace but they have rich investors. There's nothing between us and Southampton but they do too. Bournemouth's natural size is third tier at best.

I've been comparing us with West Brom for almost two decades now. They've generally outperformed us but it's been nip and tuck fairly often. That bigger clubs than ourselves - Leeds, Derby, Sunderland, Sheffield Wednesday, Nottingham Forest - either have all done worse than us or have done so lately says a lot for our owners and our club.

Plus, most of all: this is the first era ever when we've constantly outperformed Ipswich and, in club size, left them trailing far, far behind us. They have no future; we have a bright one.
