That would be a lot of effort to go to just to win a few running races no?
I fail to see anyone going through full gender re-assignment just to be an athlete.
Its also making the assumption that lots of people who do it genuinely feel a desire for competitive sport, and would want to put the time and effort in to get to the top of those fields.
You *Could* argue they might have a degree of physical advantage, but it would still take a period of hardwork before they could compete at major events.
