A couple of months ago I left my phone in the back of a trusty black cab...
...I called it umpteen times but it was never answered and then suddenly it went straight thru to VM. However I did manage to get it back as I located the area the driver lived and went down there in an Uber. The Uber driver drove up and down the street (was a slightly intimidating area) as I went from door to door trying to locate where the back cab driver lived. Eventually I found the right house where upon I asked for my phone back. When I called my wife on the way to the tube to say I'd got it she initially didn't know it was me calling as said honest back cab driver had switched SIMS and a new number came up. On closer inspection I realised the phone had been crudely opened to get to the SIM. I reported him but the equally honest licensing authority eventually wrote back with a meh...
Yesterday arriving back at St Pancras a black cab went full "send em back". Obvs I shut that s**t down very quickly but FFS why did he feel he was entitled to air his revolting views in the first place? As he knew we were on our way to Hackney we were probably not the demographic/audience he was after? I would report him but as the previous experience demonstrates not a lot of point...
As a recent user of Uber I've found their service is better, more efficient and the drivers we've had so far, honest. I hope they get their licence back...
