More evidence of Farke's ability as a coach

apart from the fact obviously that we have just beaten one of the best teams in Europe...

is that once again we have come our after an international break and produced a performance that was a significant improvement over the two that preceded it. There is a real pattern of this under his leadership and it suggests that whenever he has a bit of time on the training field and to properly prepare for the game the team really benefits. I know that more than previously now go away on international duty but we clearly benefit from more time on the training pitch and now we are out of the carabao cup and with their being less games in the prem that bodes well.

As its something I have criticised previously I would also like to tentatively give him credit for the fact that our marking and defending from corners/set pieces seems to have improved as well.

Being ultra, ultra critical, Aguero still had 2 or 3 free headers from crosses in open play where I felt he should have been picked up but given the personel available and that our tactics were to let them have the ball wide and put crosses in then perhaps that is to be expected - I will let them off!
